Question for you iMac folks: The USB cable supplied with the SMSL AD18 has a standard USB connector on one end and a micro-USB connector on the other. The max bit rate I'm getting is 96kHz with this cable setup. Wondering if I might get an increased bit rate (144kHz would be nice...) by using a cable from the Thunderbolt 3 port on the iMac to the SMSL AD18 instead of the iMac's USB 3 port. I've got a 2017 iMac. Anyone know? Thanks! (The SMSL AD18 is a great unit, by the way -- really enjoying the sound through my vintage JBL L-166s and my HD 58X headphones, along with the extra space on my desk where my big old Sony AV receiver used to be!)

bizzwriterOld post but for anyone else, per manual USB only samples up to 96KHz, the optical and coaxial will do up to 192KHz.
