Portable DAC/Amp With Balanced & Unbalanced Outs
A flat, portable DAC/amp, the SMSL IQ is best paired with laptops or smartphones and high-end IEMs. To deliver an accurate, reference-quality sound, it uses the well-regarded Sabre 9012Q2C DAC and the second-generation XMOS xCORE-200 XU208 chip. The precision-machined aluminum shell comes in several metallic colors and features a small OLED display on the left side. For users with balanced IEMs, the IQ has a 2.5-millimeter balanced output in addition to the 3.5-millimeter unbalanced output—and the unit can output significantly more power through the balanced out. Finally, it comes with short microUSB and USB Type C cables, ideal for those with Android-based devices.
