In my humble opinion, SMSL devices should be avoided. Failure rates are very high and they often ship with dodgy PSUs. Their specs aren't great either, e.g. the SMSL M3 has less output power than a Fiio E10K, although the latter is only powered by USB! Oh and check out the comments about the SMSL Idol+ here on Massdrop. Spoiler: it's utter garbage. Oh and I know one guy whose SMSL amp had severe DC offset because a resistor on the board had the wrong value.

SteroidI use a lot of smsl products for their performance for the dollar but I have to agree, failure rates are really high, I've had quite a few smsl devices just die on me out of the blue.
