YakovThe xDuoo TA-01 is a USB DAC Tube Headphone Amplifier, with what looks like a mini-USB input + 2 RCA inputs. It's for headphones only and won't decode DSD eg. SACD CDs, but is an all-in-one solution if that's what you want. I can't say how good it is since I don't own one.
The M8 (which I just bought) is a DAC only, without an amp, so you'll need a separate amp to power your headphones or speakers. It has a USB-B input (much better and robust than mini-USB) as well as coaxial, and optical. Since you can switch between inputs using a button, you could potentially have three devices connected to it. Output is via RCA. My mobo's onboard Creative Sound Core3D audio was picking up EMI interference from just moving my mouse, and this no longer happens with the M8 (or probably any external DAC). I can also bitstream DSD files to the M8 (via USB only) which decodes them and sends them to my AVR receiver. The only thing I don't like is that it powers itself off after ten minutes of silence - I wish there was a way to defeat that. There are a couple of ways to power it on remotely without having to press the power button - either plug it into a switched power source on a receiver, and switch the receiver off then on again, or use an X-10 or equivalent power module and cycle it off/on. The M8 turns itself on if the input power is cycled.
