kipaGot the headphone out power ratings from another site. If you get this unit, I'd use it as a DAC to a much, much more powerful headphone amplifier (THX AAA 789 when it drops again would drive those bad boys)
32ohm: 108mW
64ohm: 104mW
150ohm: 86mW
300ohm: 57mW

pslayer1This looks really, really good for IEMs though, especially having that balanced 2.5 out.
Really low price for a balanced DAC alone, yet it has that amp functionality.
Probably the cheapest solution for pairing a worthy DAC to the THX AAA 789. That is also the first pairing I thought of. Now the only real question, do they sell this in black? ;-)

UzuzuI actually have this paired with 789. It's GOOOOOD. Unfortunately SMSL only makes it in silver color

Topping DX3 is comparable and I'd rather buy that b/c it's amp side is better, also it's cheap and sounds amazing.

UzuzuWhich dac/amp combo would you suggest for HD6xx, It should have a 2.5mm balanced output and an optical input. Please it would be a great help

nasikkar19Literally anything depending on your budget and depending on if you want color, which I recommend because I think the 6xx sucks without tube.
So that said, do you like a colored sound or a cold one, and what are you willing to spend?
Because in all honestly I believe for 180 dollars or so right now you can get all you ever need in an amp/dac, and I've spent the thousands and most, but not all of the chase is snake oil.

GurbakhshishHow did you hook this up to the 789? Doesn't the DAC need to have XLR out into the 789 for it to be truly Balance?

UzuzuI will use my fx audio dac x6 as a dac ....how about xduoo TA-10, is it a good dac amp combo.
