Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I don't know much about this system and there aren't many reviews. It doesn't appear to have a lot of power but I've never heard it so won't say it's no good because of that.
I had the m9xx and while transparent, it was very lifeless to me (was paired with 400i, may have tried my k7xx with it before I sold them). Not my favourite or best value on the collaborations IMO.
At this price I would suggest looking at Audio GD. Admittedly ordering from them is not quite as simple, but they offer great sound at great value. Or save some money and just grab a Modi/Magni if you want to keep it simple.
As a Zeosphile, I'll be waiting for his review to come out and see if he mentions that :p
I am currently using the FiiO E10K for my AKG. It's running fine albeit having to use higher volume for the right listening experience in driving the K7XX. I need a DAC/AMP with multiple inputs and line-outs for my desktop setup. I'll use the E10K for my office laptop when I get the desktop setup that I want. Appreciate so much for the input, feeling the community help in MD even though that may mean spending more of my salary in the site hahaa *thumb* :)
