Wanted to chime in with my comments on this set. I didn't get it through massdrop (and am disappointed I paid way more), but have used it on a few backcountry excursions.
I pair it with my Snow Peak GigaPower stove. Yes: a small fuel canister, stove, lid, and my folding spork all fit in the pot. I can see how the lid would fall in, but it hasn't been a problem for me. It's happened maybe one time and won't happen if I'm just a little more careful when putting it back on.
Regarding the cup, I generally use it as a bowl rather than cup. I have drank coffee out of it many mornings, but it's worth noting that the hot/warm coffee makes it even more "floppy" than it would be if cold. It also doesn't insulate, at all, as you would expect. That said I was happy drinking out of it as long as I was careful to not let it collapse enough to spill as I was picking it up, putting it down, etc. For me it was totally worth it to not have a separate container. Even still I will be adding a lightweight GSI backpacker mug to my kit (I like keeping my coffee warmer for longer as I pack up, and it's nice to have a dedicated "liquid" container to cut down on washing. Just give it a rinse, then use it later for your bourbon.) Lastly the silicon cup can add just a little bit of insulating and comfort should you use the pot to drink your coffee. Kinda like a koozie.
Finally, I'll echo what others are saying about measuring markers. Good idea to measure where 500mL lands and use the handles as references. I've scratched measuring marks in other vessels so I'll probably just do that here too.
All in all, I consider this a bargain at twice the price. It's a very versatile piece of kit and I think you could do most if not all backcountry kitchen tasks with just this and a spork. Great job Snow Peak, and great job Massdrop for offering it at this price!
