I really like the colored options you can find everywhere. Blue, green, etc.... It's not a paint that can come off but the titanium is treated somehow.

Xendar77The anodizing is a coating, and comes off at the wear points (bottom and at the rim) after a while. Also, some cleaning agents (Oxy Clean) can "erase" it. Plain titanium is better in this regard, plus it looks like cheap metal so no one will steal it.

Frank_GearyHe’s right that it’s not a paint that will come off and harm you though. The surface is a hardened oxide of titanium. Also compared to my untreated titanium SP, the coloured blue SP is smoother.
