Where is this item manufactured? Anyone? I understand massdroop doesn't like to advertise which country with poor human and labor rights it is profiting from, but . . . .

Have you tried using Google?

Sorry, originally linked to the wrong one. Snugpak states on their website that their regular bivvi is made in the UK. The Stratosphere does not seem to indicate.
Weights as much as my double wall 2 person tent
These are great if one is not claustrophobic. They do not work for me. Unless...I am totally exhausted or have some sedatives. YMMV.
What was the final price on this?
2.5 pounds? Why is this even still a product? I can get a tent for less weight.

Maybe if packed size is really important to you?
A big fan of Snugpak gear in general and these were great, last century; but nowadays you can get a two person free standing tent that is substantially lighter than this from Big Agnes et al. Plus with Vendor shipping to NZ at $50 the price isn't too attractive either.
You'll get condensation and get soaked from the inside if you close it up fully.

I used to have one and returned it for this very reason. Snugpak make some great gear, but I would not class this as one of them. I use a Catoma EBNS now. Excellent ventilation, water dissipation and thermal retantion.
Europe (including the UK, at least until Brexit is completed), uses a comma in places where the US uses a decimal point. Europeans will read this metric (no pun intended) as 5.0 mm of poly coating.

Either way, it's still not the right way to read it. Waterproofness ratings are just written very oddly: https://www.evo.com/guides/outerwear-waterproof-ratings-and-breathability
"with 5,000mm waterproof polyurethane coating"
DAMN! My math might be a bit off, but that's in the neighborhood of 16 feet of waterproof coating thickness, haha. And the bottom thickness adds another 26 feet.
