Rofl.  Is this for real?  Come on SOG.
did SOG get bought out by a crappier company? They used to be a brand I respected for gear. Now it' sa lot of useless mall ninja crap.
Lol, peak mallninja bullshit.
Zombie Apocalypse gear.
Save your money. This thing is not very good at all. The cheap blade is difficult to access and potentially dangerous to user if it were at all sharp. The flashlight is a joke. This baton is a neat concept that has been very poorly executed, but better than coal for a stocking stuffer.
Amazon has it for $39.96, and free shipping with Prime it's cheaper and would have it in two days.
A flashlight, blade, flathead and bottle owner...$40??? I don't get it.

Someday you will be in the dark, trapped behind a door, in a beer factory with only bread and cheese to survive ..and you will kick yourself.

Sounds like something that would happen to Fez in That 70s Show
I'd be more interested in a Q4 (The version that is actually a real multi-tool), that would compliment my actual knife and actual flashlight that I would much rather carry then this janky thing. You would think MD would know better since they sell "high quality" blades and flashlights. I guess they thought the gears were purdy....
I like the look, but seriously : A cheap blade, a cheap light, and a bottle opener/useless screwdriver... How is it qualifying as a multi-tool ?
This is an embarrassment to SOG. It is an overpriced, poorly made piece of junk. Knife blade is small, weak and quirky to access. The light is okay despite the graphic pointing in the wrong direction. Bottle opener is too small to be effective and a coin works better than the screwdriver. There is a metal bar alongside the knife blade that should be something but is totally non functioning. Run, don't walk away from this Sog dog.
A multi-tool that doesn't have pliers is just a sub-optimal mall ninja knife.

So what would be an optimal mall ninja knife?
fhood
naturally one that shoots throwing stars
This is not a 'multi-tool', its a fixed blade knife with a light in the handle and a large bottle opener covering the blade. And some fancy looking but totally useless gear magic.
I own lots of lights, multitools and knifes for any use case. But I cannot think of any where I would carry this.
Maybe if I would go outside at night with some bread, a piece of butter and a sixpack of beer...
Butter knives are made of better steel than this sog.

Reviews of these so called multi tools from sog are not very good.
anonomous
This one is a dud. The Q3 that they sent me in replacement has held it's own. I kind of liken it to my Leatherman Skeletool. It's there in a pinch, but it is not going to be my "go to" tool in times of need
Am I the only one who thinks this concept is kinda stupid?

Well... Considering I carry a light and a knife... It only seems odd if you don't carry these items.

I carry a light and a knife, and combining them seems odd to me. It's not unusual for me to want to use both at the same time, which you can't do with this. It makes sense to me to combine lots of different tools, but to me a light should always be separate.
It's on Amazon for $49.95

Yup ... saw that. A little embarrassing.
...This same exact model is available on BladeHQ for $49.95. And I don't have to wait weeks/months for it to arrive at my doorstep.
The entire point of MassDrop is to SAVE MONEY with group buys. If a drop doesn't do this over one of the biggest online knife retailers offering the same product... what the hell is even the point of it? There isn't. We could all get this exact same price from just ordering at BladeHQ. And, again, we wouldn't have to wait weeks/months to get it. There is just helping for me to cement my feeling that MassDrop is slowly-but-surely devolving in quality and consistency.
People, do not buy this product. Wifey got it for me for fathers day, because in her words "I spend too much on knives and lights". After I sent it back for the 3rd time because the light failed for NO reason whatsoever they offered to upgrade me to the SOG Baton Q3. They have awesome customer service, but this product is a dud.
Cool looking but kinda pricey for the features.
I wonder when they add the "Mall-Ninja" community?
really? the lowest price is 49.95usd +9USD shipping...it is almost the same price in W&W in canada...it is 51 usd and it will ship to my door in three days with 10USD shipping....MD...please...really? this is not a drop at all...
Needs more lumens.
Wigdaddy
For something the size of a marker that also has a blade in it... no, not really. 75 lumens is good enough. If you want more, you likely already have lights for that exact purpose.
