My knife just arrived a few minutes ago. Same deal, silver blade. For any others who may have the issue, it seems like Massdrop support is the one to contact about this, I am now waiting on a reply myself.
https://www.massdrop.com/support Choose 'specific order inquiry', then the drop in question, and then 'product arrived not as expected'.

Shrike7If I'm not mistaken, you live in Canada right? My knife was taken by the CBSA stationed in Quebec over the knife being "prohibited as per Memo D19-13-2 app.22", but if I'm correct, isn't there an exception clearly stated in app.22 for Torsion bar assisted opening knives?

JunnyI know they're legal here in Alberta, and i received my knife just fine, it just doesnt have the blade coating advertised.
The legalese here states that switchblades, or any blade that opens at the press of a button or switch, are illegal. Assisted open knives are none of those, so they're allowed, and as I understand (though don't quote me on this), are actually standard carry for EMTs, as they can be opened with a single hand when they must do things like cut seatbelts.
The law in Quebec might be a little different though, these are the sort of things you have to check beforehand. Looking it up with a quick google search, it does read pretty much exactly what I remember reading back when i started looking at knives online, so chances are it's a federal law and not a provincial one, yeah. App.22 is the exception, if they read through all of app.21 they can see that.
Keep in mind that im not a lawyer or anything, so please dont take this as any sort of official legal advice. Just trying to help out.
