Solid Gray Backpack

I dont find this backpack terribly awful looking (the gray looks cool, like something a sci-fi character would wear) but what concerns me in the straps. They look week and if the straps had more padding and a cross-strap, then it's a 10% chance i'd consider it a purchase... but the price is a huge deterrent as well. I can get a custom quality messenger bag/roll-top for this price and it'd be water/weather-resistant as well. I'd like the inside of this bag to have padding for my items at least as well.
