Love it. Light weight, beautiful build quality and a fun easy option that is gas less. Gets water boiled real quick and easy with the aid of a firefighter and not much biomass.

Great product. Good quality materials. Much smaller than I expected = more portable for light weight camping. The stove fits very nicely inside the optional pot.

I already owned a Solo Stove before buying another from MassDrop. My girlfriend loved mine so much I got her one as well. It doesn't take up much space in the pack. We keep a tinder box ready just in case we have difficulty finding dry fuel for this to burn. Once it gets started it'll burn just about anything you put in it. Depending on what you're burning you can produce a small amount of smoke with this, but for the most part it burns clean.
Its also worth noting that my girlfriend was using a Pocket Rocket 2.0 gas stove. While she enjoyed the little gas burner, she really didn't like the idea of lugging around little gas cans. A minor oversight on her part, but we still use the little gas stove when we get hit with Hurricanes. *Floridian*
Would I recommend this? I got one for my better 2/3's, and she's already recommended it to a couple of our friends. Do you need one? Well that depends on if you want a traditional camp fire, or if you want to use one of these. While you use less fuel, and it burns hotter, with less smoke, you do miss the charm of a roaring camp fire.

TL;DR: This was unfaultable, as far as it went, but was an extremely messy way to cook.
This stove work really well, is well made, and is highly portable. But, OMG, is cooking this way messy. I'm a 'one pot chef', and use my pot to eat from. Cooking this way caked my pot (and then my hands, and then loads of other gear) in soot.
One other minor observation was that despite reading somewhere that the exterior of the unit did not get that hot during use, I can confirm that this is not true - definitely too hot to touch, but probably not enough to scorch the ground.
One enhancement hack was riveting a trio of 'swing out' struts to the bottom, to make the unit more stable:

All-in-all, a great idea, now relegated to my 'bug out' bag...
