If you learn how to make feathersticks (basically making small shavings - look on youtube) from the inside of small sticks (split them with your knife) you can use these wood burning stoves even after a torrential downpour. I have a emberlit fireant that I absolutely love as it is only a few ounces. The solostove and bushbuddy are really nice though as they do not require constant maintenance that the fireant does. They are also more efficient burners too....but with a minimum of skill practice you should be able to make a fire in all conditions.
