I guess a grill could be placed on top to cook??--but then food residue & oils would dirty it all up....
RussKCI'm concerned that a good part of the fire is "hidden" inside the stove and unless you're close to or above it you don't see much of the fire. If you sit a few feet away from it (as you probably have to since I'm assuming it gets really hot), most of what you see of the fire are the flames coming out the top (and the SS sides of the stove). Don't you find that detracts from "campfire effect"?
