Product Description
The Solo Stove Ranger isn’t your average firepit: it starts up faster, burns more efficiently, and provides a more pleasant, smoke-free experience. Meticulously engineered from 304 stainless steel, its minimalist design works well in any backyard or car-camping site—and because the bottom doesn't get as hot as a traditional fire pit, it's less likely to scorch the ground beneath it Read More

I have the Bonfire and it's absolutely awesome for the backyard. This would be great for glamping or smaller yards.

"Don't try this at home." No one ever would grill a sausage directly in the flame.

This does not come with a stand? What a disappointment! Why does Solo Stove make their promo video with a stand stored inside the Ranger but does not include it in the package?

I got this in the Kickstarter campaign ($199, stand, carrying bag, free shipping). If this comes with the carrying case, I think it's a pretty good deal. You can do fine without the stand, a couple of bricks or a piece of plywood would do the job just as well. I'd skip the tools too. A stick works pretty well for me for moving wood around and putting more wood on the fire. I think the carrying case is more important. The stove is kinda bulky and it helps having a handle/strap when moving it around and helps keep your trunk (or where ever you carry it) cleaner. As far as operation goes you can get a roaring fire going in a short period of time with minimal fire lighting skills. I usually burn found wood. Compressed sawdust logs work well too. There is a bit of smoke if you let any wood stick above the burn chamber otherwise there isn't much smoke. It puts out a reasonable amount of warmth and the flame is very pleasant to look at.

Understand the model in the lifestyle photo no longer has that beard. Very tragic--so sad.

If this drop was for the larger Bonfire fire-pit at this price ($179 w/free shipping), it would be the deal I’ve been waiting on and I would quickly buy it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Received my ranger fire pit in excellent condition over a week earlier than massdrop estimated. It included the fire pit, the ring for the TOP(not the stand) and a nice fitting, heavy duty enough carry bag. The tools I ordered as an add on arrived at the same time. I’m pleased.
