Bringing the power to the people with a design that boasts half the weight and expense of conventional equivalents, the SOLOMON MiCS LoFReQ is easily integrated into any recording set-up and transforms your low end performance Read More

Great news group! We placed the order shortly after the drop ended and the vendor has let us know that it's already been picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 12/22. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 12/22 or sooner if something comes up.

Great news! The drop was successful and we’ve just placed the group’s order with the vendor for the SOLOMON MiCS LoFReQ. Currently they are working hard to prepare the shipment so that when we receive it at our New Jersey warehouse we can easily separate everything and send the individual orders out to you all! We expect the ship date from our warehouse to be 5/14.
Meanwhile, we’ll update the group with any news about order status once we receive that information from the vendor. You can look forward to another update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 5/11 . Thanks again for being a part of this community!

I've been looking in to getting a sub mic for a while. at this price and how it looks, i couldn't resist. if it works out i may look in to more for mic'ing the bottoms of my floor toms.
Trosa, the LoFReQ actually doesn't increase anything, it simply is a microphone with a different focus range than most traditional mics. Using this type of transducer can be documented as far back as the recording of "Paperback Writer" by Sir Paul. Drummers like Questlove use the same process nightly to gather more of the frequency range their instrument (specifically his kick drum) produces that traditional microphones are not designed to focus on. As far as usefulness with different equipment is concerned, the biggest differences are noticeable when using subs and in headphones, but that's truly up to the engineer, as this mic is really nothing more than a different paint brush to paint a sonic landscape. In both recording and live sound reinforcement applications, the LoFReQ is currently being used by Grammy winners, studio and live engineers, touring bands and even recording hobbyists. Reproduction of 25hz is generally not what they are looking for as much as capturing the total range of frequencies produced by the sound source. I hope this helps!

Everybody dealing with mic stands should have a few sandbags on hand. They are cheap and very useful.
