Fair warning, I bought a couple Something Strong hoodies recently, size XL, and they were very tight on me. I'm a size 42 chest, so they definitely run a little small.
Might want to order a size up if you're between sizes. I'm L/XL and I went up to XL and it was still too small.
huntroYour comment has me a little on edge, I just took my measurements and I fit the small size down to the last mm it seems. Which does happen with some other brands as I have dropped a couple of excess pounds. But I am actually looking for a rather tight fit as a base layer, but I still don't want the thing to come apart at the seams. Would you be kind enough to elaborate a bit further on your fit and preference so I can better figure things out? And maybe others might benefit too...
BjornI know you didn't ask me, and I don't have one, or any measurements on hand, but hearing what you're describing, and my long history with clothes slowly shrinking (probably my fault, due to washing method), I'd go up one size.
Again, just me, randomly replying, based on what you and he described, and my experience.
BjornSure let me try and give a little more info.
Quick description of my body type, i'm 6'2, 190 lbs, big but not overweight , large arms, broad shoulders/chest, but not a large stomach.
The XL fit me (more snug than I am typically comfortable with, but still fits) in the abdomen but the shoulders/chest/arms were tight- much more form-fitting than I think most people would expect from a sweatshirt. The quality seemed decent - i've only worn it a couple times, but like I said it's very form fitting and I haven't burst any seams yet.
If you're more of a slender body type, this might work for you. Especially if you're looking for something that fits a little tight, you might be ok. But if you want to play it safe I would go a size up - it'll definitely still fit, but I think you might not get the exact tight feel it sounds like you're looking for (as is the risk when buying clothes online :( ).
huntroThank you so much for your quick and clear answers and suggestions guys. It's this kind of friendly community attitude that makes Massdrop great :) I'll have to mull this one over a bit :-p
