John__wThe biggest sin seems to be the poor bluetooth connectivity. Lots of Amazon reviews saying that you can't use this with your phone in your pocket, which is like, my only use case: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-WF1000X-BM1-Cancelling-Headphones/product-reviews/B074KCPQQV/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_srvw_btm?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews&sortBy=recent#R331RGYBQEVGYV

John__wYeah, I own a pair of these. They're comfy and they look pretty nice, but I have minor connection issues.
It's not the headphones connection with the phone, it's the connection between the headphone sides. They struggle to get the signal through your head, and it's really fucking annoying - one side drops at a certain location for me (a local bus stop) and it's really annoying. Along with that there's minor drop outs (right side will desync then correct in about 1s).
They sound goddamn nice though. Really forward, shouty but not fatiguing sound, good bass (assuming you use the foam tips in the box), nice treble. Well balanced.
Noise cancelling is good. Not amazing, but good. They're great for filtering out a lot of noises, and there's a hybrid option so it can filter in speech into your music. Doesn't work as well as I expected though, it needs some tuner or something so someone can up the amount it's factored in.
AAC is a godsend for these. SBC codec is horrible. The app tells you if it's working with the AAC codec, and it makes a difference.
