BteeI actually think its pretty great, especially after you customize your menu to remove sections you don't like or want.

BteeThe biggest annoyance I have is the apps to be able to tell the availability of an internet connection. The TV disconnects from wifi when in standby (there's no way to turn it all the way off sans unplugging it from the wall), and when you turn the tv back on the apps are not consistent on refreshing so you just get a "sorry no internet" even when you reconnect. You then have to go into the clunky settings and force quit the app. I even hardwired the TV to try to alleviate the issue, but it's surprisingly the same thing. I use my PS4 and it's a much better experience now. The TV itself is great though. Sony mid tier from a couple of years ago. It also just runs slow in general. I really can't stand Android TV. The apps (hulu and prime) don't run as well on it as other things. Netflix is probably the best on it and honestly can't tell the difference running it on android/apple tv/ps4. Everything else is kind of junk though.

atomicbopI would highly recommend you checkout the NVIDIA shield. It’s an amazing streaming box. I have one for each of my TV’s in the house. Quite robust and not too expensive.

atomicbopHaven't added to this discussion in a bit but I've got 2 gripes with Sony on these sets (applicable to at least the 'E' range). The Ethernet has some critical flaw that persists through factory reset. You can't even replace it with a USB to Ethernet adapter. My other issue is the inability to set up local DVR functionality on either the built in app or live channels. Works fine on my mibox s but Sony saw fit to exclude it. If anyone has a differing experience either these issues I'd love to hear about it.
