Providing plenty of range without the bulk, the Sony E 18–105mm f/4 telephoto zoom lens can take on everything from close-quarter street to landscape to portrait photography. Designed to work with Sony APS-C format cameras, it has a 35mm-equivalent focal-length range of 27–157.5mm, making it great for wide-angle or telephoto applications. Two extra-low-dispersion glass elements help reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color throughout the zoom range, while three aspherical elements reduce astigmatisms, field curvatures, comas, and other monochromatic aberrations. The Optical SteadyShot image stabilization system compensates for camera shake due to handheld shooting or slow shutter speeds. Finally, the seven-blade diaphragm employs selective focus techniques to produce a natural, rounded bokeh effect.
