Alang07i think they are worth $3000 for sound and build, so who is right?
I hate when people labeling prices for things. especially when you never own it.
thinking you can decide something based on quick listing just proof you don't really
know what you're talking about.
LIBY555Wow, now that's and ignorant response pal! I think 40 years of audiophile experience and 9 systems in my house gives me just a bit of listening experience. Lol.
Alang07Doesn't matter how many years you've been an audiophile apparently, because after 40 years
you should have learn that you can't really judge something unless you had enough time with it, for quite a few reasons, you know how many times i didn't love something at first, but after a few days it became on of my favorites? not once.
secondly, everyone has his own taste in sound, and if you'll take that fact, as well as the fact that these are the most brilliant build pair of headphones, ever, you'll come to the conclusion that you do not have the authority to decide what their MSRP should be, and frankly, probably no one really cares and it's irrelevant.
GHYO1I do own a pair, as well as many other TOTL cans.
Don't think I'm trying do defend them or something, I don't give a **** about them, and i know better
headphones, although they are probably on of the best closed cans out there, and it's not easy to be a very good closed hp's.
It's not the point, if he'd say these are garbage sound wise in his opinion, i wouldn't say nothing, fine by me. but every time i see someone start labeling prices it bothers me, like, do you know the time and money invested in research on these? do you know the manufacturing cost of each unit compare to others? do you share the same sound signature taste as the rest of the world?
probably not, so why in the hell someone think he can put a price tag on something ?
again, yes it's his opinion, but who cares about how much he think these should cost?
Probably no one, so why bother?
LIBY555Alang07 actually listened to these and also has many other headphones, so his comment is not ignorant. He is saying HE would not pay more than $1,000 for them. His money, his right. There are plenty of products that have cost a small fortune to develop, and others that don't. (Watch Shark Tank.) The companies selling products have no reasonable expectation to recoup their investment. No more than a college graduate has the "right" to earn the cost of that education.
Now, is it possible for people here to make comments without being rude or offensive? Try it.
GHYO1You're missing the point, read my comment again, I've talked exactly about this. you're just trying to defend your friend blindly without understanding my point. (BTW he said that my comment is ignorant , not me)
And please give me a break with the "try it without being offensive and rude" bull, I'm not a child and you're not my father. if you have any issues with how i write, you are more than welcome to ignore me.
LIBY555I also think they are great headphones. I auditioned SONY MDR-Z1R at CanJam NYC earlier this year. I was able to audition it with my Chord Hugo at the event. I was very impressed by it and brought a pair a few days after CamJam NYC.
