LOL. Look at these fostex fanboys. Z7 sounds AMAZING with balance cable and the right set up and it's no doubt a FLAGSHIP that only cans like th900 and hd800 can compete with it. Thx00 is better? What a joke. Don't tell me you are using portable set ups to drive these cans, coz if you do, you are dumb.

Only negative on this is any pull out shelves with a channeled side for strength is too wide to fit between the rails.

ImTheManI agree, The Z7s are excellent and compare very well with TH900 or beyer T1. Build quality is excellent, better than most others and sound signature and quality is very close to TH900. I can't say much about X00 as I haave not listened to them but as they are not a step down from Th900 I guess Z7s would outperform them. Most people discount these headphones just because they are SONY and not from a boutique label like Fostex, beyerdynamic or Sennheiser. I would rather have Z7 than T1 , when it comes to TH900 it is a hard comparison but I probably would still prefer Z7 because of better build quality.

ImTheManWhat? The Z7 isn't Sony's "flagship," it's an excellent headphone IMO but Sony definitely has more expensive models.
Your comment that the HD800 can "compete" with the Z7 is insane. They don't compete at all, because they're about as different as two pairs of headphones can be. Their use-cases don't overlap AT ALL!

zubairomTH-X00 in my opinion are way better than Z7. I have both.
