Designed for Sony A-mount and APS-C cameras, the Sony Vario-Sonnar T* DT 16–80mm f/3.5–4.5 ZA lens is a go-to zoom for street, portrait, and everyday photography. It features a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 24–120mm and an f/3.5–4.5 maximum aperture that covers a variety of lighting conditions. The two aspherical elements have been treated with Zeiss’s legendary T* anti-reflective coating to effectively eliminate aberrations and flares. The auto clutch mechanism prevents the focusing ring from rotating when autofocus is engaged, while the internal focusing mechanism provides quick and precise autofocus performance for both photos and videos. In addition to a shallow depth of field, the lens has a rounded seven-blade diaphragm that helps create a unique bokeh effect.
