The ear pads were too small for my ears so I replaced them with Meze 99 Classics & Neo. This was a very easy mod with no cutting involved.
Here's the ear pad removed, there are 6 plastic clips. I used a coin to pry a side off and then it was easy to undo the rest of the clips by hand. Optionally, you can further remove the foam padding covering the speaker and change the material or leave it empty if you want.

Left is the Meze and right is the Sony ear pad. Notice the clips inserted through the holes on the Sony's.

Again but flipped over.

Here's the clip for the Sony's with the ear pad removed.

Here's the new ear pad with the clip inside. The lip wraps around the clips, so no cutting required! You just need to work the clips a little when putting it back.

Here's the finished product!

Here's another angle. The Meze's are deeper and wider than Sony's which made it more comfortable wearing. However, I may need to cut off the filter in the center since it is still touching my ear. The padding is more firm than Sony's but I think it needs to be broken in. I cannot comment on how it sounds because I'm no audiophile but I did notice a change. It still sounds good to me, so it's a pass.

Ugh, sorry I couldn't move the image while making this post. Left side already has a Meze ear pad installed.
