Hello All,
Our vendor has let us know that while a number of orders have been shipped numerous others will be delayed by 10-12 days.
I know that you are upset and you should have been informed about this earlier but we were just informed of this today. Our vendor is very confident that the remaining orders will ship out with-in the next 10-12 days.
You can expect an update by 4/22 the latest.

JaysunJaysun- how did this happen? This extra delay is frustrating and likely would have affected customers’ decision to purchase. There was plenty of time prior to the drop and over the past two weeks to coordinate shipments.

AceniusI agree. This is the first time I've purchased from Mass Drop and will most likely be my last. I think this is an absurd amount of time to have to wait for the headphones. I would rather just wait for a sale on Amazon or in a store that way I know it will get to me promptly. There was also no notification of this till the day the product is supposed to be delivered not acceptable to me.

JaysunThis is a significant failure. The vendor is essentially doubling the shipping time on a product that is already in full production, and shouldn't have major manufacturing or distribution issues. Is there going to be any consideration given to the affected customers? Quite frankly, this makes me hesitant to order from Massdrop again.

AceniusThere is no denying the fact that this is frustrating and we do not look forward to disappointing our members ....ever.
The facts are that once we were informed that there was going to be a delay on the remaining orders we immediately posted it in the discussion.
Many things affect purchasing decisions and we are always upfront with our estimated delivery times so people are confident in the decisions they do make.

JaysunUsually when a reputable vendor makes a mistake like this, they compensate the affected purchasers is some way. ie (10% off or !0% off next purchase) Not just a worthless sorry. Drop was a set amount of units and should have been cut off when supplies ran out. Not charged to everyone’s payment method. Very disappointed.

JaysunWith all honesty this is pretty bad from your vendor and you. I have placed my order assuming that I will be receiving it before I travel but with this update it will not happen. Neither you or the vendor have posted any updates until today which is very unacceptable. This was my first and last drop as I could have spent the extra $16 and just bought it new from eBay last week during the sale instead of being stuck and having to wait a month for it.

JaysunThis is my first purchase on massdrop and im disappointed. The initial estimated shipping date is already more than 15 days. After the long waits, you are telling us there is going to be a delays of 10 to 12 days! I have been telling my friends about massdrop but after this experience, i will tell them to stay away.

JaysunEpic fail. Joined massdrop to get this deal. To wait almost a month is unacceptable, even more so when others who ordered on the same day as I did already received theirs. There must be a way to push the seller to expedite shipping. This is ridiculous.

JaysunIs there any way of getting a refund? I purchased these headphones in order to travel for my two-week long vacation to China with a very long flight, and they are now arriving extremely late. I bought them for a reason and expected them to arrive by a certain date, and honestly, I'm sure the delay is enough to make many people regret their purchase as well. For the sake of your reputation, I would recommend providing the option to either get a refund or at least a form of compensation for those affected, especially as we had no choice in the shipping method. This will undoubtedly be my last order on Massdrop; I understand that it isn't entirely your fault, but as a marketplace, it's your responsibility to stay informed and inform your customers as well. Very disappointed and I think I speak for many of us.

traxis11I agree I've heard so many great things about massdrop but this I wasn't expecting. I'm sure they weren't expecting it either but that's $250 right there with nothing to show for it and nothing to make all of us waiting any happier.

JaysunI agree with the disappointed sentiments from everyone as this was my first Massdrop order and had high expectations on a successful order. I ordered the headphones based on the delivery shipment date provided as I am planning to go on a long travel trip in a week. With the original ship date I would have gotten them in time but now, I won't even be in the country to receive the headphones for awhile!
Massdrop is quick to charge my credit card, when all other vendors usually charge as products are shipped. You have my money but can't deliver as promised? Utterly disappointed and should have provided updates within the last 2 weeks rather than day of expected delivery. Jaysun / Massdrop, hope that you provide some updates for an expedited delivery or compensation for the delayed delivery when others have already received their headphones.

JaysunDefinitely hoping the accomadate those who have waited long with some incentive - especially for those that have been apart of the MASSDROP for a long time. At this point - disappointment is only we can deal with. I too hve a long trip and orderd these in order to use, however, I might be SOL.

JaysunRidiculous. You should at least offer those affected expedited shipping or a partial cashback. This reflects poorly on the quality of your drops and you should be ashamed of your level of service.

JaysunReally this Is disappointing. Massdrop is our only avenue to the vendor, therefore you need to better act as our advocate. If the vendor had a limited supply, this should have been noted. I think most people would understand a delay of a day or two but 12 days is too much. Any good business should be embarrassed with this delay and Massdrop should not use the vendor again.

1. All I see here is your perspective, that by communicating the failings of your vendor your responsibility is over. It isn't. We paid Massdrop, not the vendor. I would like to see more accountability from you for not meeting the promised shipping date. 2. To maintain customer confidence and marketplace reputation, merchants typically offer some sort of compensation to undo the inconvenience caused, which doesn't appear to be on your agenda. 3. In your reply you state "Many things affect purchasing decisions". I think you are alluding to the $100 discount we got by buying with you. With the ridiculously extended wait, I think I speak for many of us that that discount was not really worth it. I hadn't even heard of Massdrop until this sale got posted on Slickdeals. I think I know why I hadn't heard of your company before.
First time here and for sure will be my last time as well.

JaysunThis is a bad look. There is only a last minute update after a 2 week lead time? On top of that, there will be a update in another 2 weeks? This may have been slightly more palatable if the estimated ship time was accurate but in that regard I would have passed on the purchase. I need not use Massdrop any more if items take 5 weeks to ship. I hope these delayed shipments are overnighted.

JaysunI am a first time customer with Massdrop and i find this very disappointing. Delays happen, i get that. But getting notified of the delay on the scheduled shipping day does not reflect good on Massdrop or your vendor at all. A wait of another 10 days or more only to get an update from your vendor, is not very convincing a response either. While i like the Business model of pooling buyers and getting a good price for the product, i am very conflicted about being a customer again.

JaysunDoo Doo occurs. Yes, there may be issues in the supply chain, etc. However, the lack of communication is disappointing. When the drop was made, the Vendor should have been able to judge their ability to meet the deadline. You took our money so I assume you made a down payment on the order and communicated the deadline to the Vendor. The Vendor should have known at least a week ago that they were woefully short of meeting their obligation. If they just notified you, bad on them, but you selected them. They should have made you aware of expected delivery dates, with more specific information than 10-12 more days to ship the remaining units. I also assume you are contacting the Vendor prior to the ship date to determine if they are on schedule?!?!
The key for me is to be kept informed. If you wait till the 22nd before you tell us any updates, I'll never shop here again. I want to know where I am in the queue and when I can expect delivery and if there is a change in that date, I expect to know as soon as you. If the Vendor isn't supplying any information, the contract with them needs attention and/or never use them again. So, I'm in for now but if I am on here searching for information, you've lost me.

JaysunIt is a great deal $100 of these headphones!! We are lucky to get this deal, worth waiting for in my opinion. It sucks for the extra time and they did say we can cancel and get our money back. I am sure there are 10k people who would gladly take our spots if offered. I can wait a bit longer just don't want to cancel my order or extend it much longer.

EDIT: Contacted again the support and now they cancelled it. Thank god. I was about to lose USD 250.

JaysunYou have ONE JOB, massdrop, and you're apparently not up to it.
At a minimum, please make sure everybody who has been delayed is upgraded to next-day shipping. Ideally, find another supplier and get this out the door ASAP. It's too late to do what you and your supplier should have done, which was handle the shortage and communicate with your customers *before* you missed your ship date.

QHillThe 30 day timeline is a standard email we send out once we know a drop will be late in shipping.
I wanted to let the community know exactly what I was told by the vendor which is 10-12 days.

JaysunI assume you're just telling us that as a courtesy, and that you're busily finding another vendor so you can ship sooner.
I'm not sure why you'd trust that vendor's estimates now... they didn't even bother to tell you they were running behind until they had already blown their date by weeks.
