I just contacted Soundmagic on skype ( got the contact from their website ) and this is what they said:
[9/08/2014 4:24:33 pm] Caliya Yip: From our company rule, massdrop can't sell the goods out of USA. [9/08/2014 4:25:02 pm] Caliya Yip: And if you have problems with the products, you should contact massdrop for warranty. [9/08/2014 4:25:13 pm] Caliya Yip: Our HP200 has 1-year warranty

HarsainFairly sure SM would have acted fairly, they are a rising company in this industry but it is utterly pointless to be discussing what ifs.

robakriWell I wanted to be sure for myself and I obviously didn't mean to cancel the international buy completely. Also why I did was I don't like how massdrop customer service deals with its customers, to reply to an email they take weeks. I can imagine how you guys feel but try to understand I didn't mean to nor I knew soundmagic will contact massdrop.... :(

HarsainYou shouldn't feel bad. You were simply doing your due diligence as a thoughtful consumer. Everyone's anger should be at Massdrop for either: a) attempting to pull a fast one with a vendor and circumvent SoundMAGIC's policies or b) being unaware that such a restriction existed in the first place prior to going public with the drop (seems unlikely since these restrictions are commonplace). Not that I anticipate it happening, but if Massdrop folds up tomorrow, your warranty support is nonexistent. That fact is what has prevented me from joining drops in the past even though some of the prices have been rather tempting.
