Bought them during the last drop in may, very detailed and precise mids, blew me away honestly for the price I paid. They took a few days of getting used to, mainly because the bass is a bit weak which gives it a bit of a tin can sound, but after that they're great.

oxysofttry some different tips, if you can get Sony Hybrid tips or clones they are best, klipsch/ety compatible tips work as well for most people, with hybrids if they start to get loose just toss then in some boiling water and they will shrink back up(and wont harm them at all, the sil they are made of handles boiling water zero issue, just cleans and shrinks them back up.. )
if you get a decent seal you wont have the tin can feel so much, also EQ them, they EQ very well, they wont have the bass of basshead options, but the details worth the dif imho, and the comfort, unmatched in my exp...
they are great though, i had my first set for like 5 years before one ear went out... paid like 75 for them...forgot how much i really loved them.... my hf5's are better detail wise, but....they are over 2x the price(right now on massdrop) so, they better be better :P

UnaSalusVictusIt does sound a lot better if you get a good seal but that's exactly my problem, getting a good seal. I put the biggest silicone tips that came with them and they still feel pretty loose in my ears. Left ear is fine usually unless I tug on it. It's mostly my right ear that is unusual I think because when I push it in, it starts sliding back out as soon as I let go which lets outside air seep in fucking up the sound. It makes the whole thing unbalanced with my left ear. It's not that big of a deal, but getting higher quality tips is definitely on my list because I absolutely love them.

oxysoftthe stock tips(the sil ones at least) are..shite for most people, honestly recommend http://www.ebay.com/itm/12pcs-S-M-L-Hybrid-Replacement-Set-Ear-Tips-Earbuds-for-Sony-XBA-MDR-DR-Series-/322576184619?epid=1222923090&hash=item4b1b09f52b:g:TUkAAMXQCgpRoVf-
as an example, you can find them cheaper and clones/knockoffs if you dig around ebay a bit, another option my buddy highly recommends is
