Which kind of handles are best... and why?

RShackI went with the reinforced since I heard that Southord picks are a little bit flimsy. I also would think that you'd get a better feel. I'm new to lock picking though - hopefully this set gets me kick started!
I do fully expect that they need to be sanded and finished though.

RShackI would go with the steel handles. The rubber ones are not very secure and don't give as good of feedback.
If you're just looking to open a few master M1s or qwiksets it won't make a difference but, with anything that has security pins the feedback is essential to getting it open.
FWIW these are decent picks, they are a far cry from peterson's/handmade but for the average joe they are sufficient.
To those familiar with other picks I would consider these to be a tad bit below HPC picks.
I've broken/bent a few over the past few months, a couple rakes, diamond, and a hook. Granted, I am not very nice to my picks.
@SomeTechNoob the finish for the most part is good.
Out of the two sets I've ordererd I only had to touch up 1.
It is worth noting that the "Deep Hook" in this set is useless in it's current state. I took both of mine to a grinder and knocked the hook in half. (Essentially a medium hook now)
In my opinion these are well worth the $30 for a lockpicker of any level.
