I've been an active covert entry specialist in SWAT (Narcotics entry team) for 30 years. I developed a love for lock picking and have also been involved in Locksport for over 20 years. I own hundreds, if not thousands, of picks and gadgets and bypass tools that I have collected over the years, out of curiosity more than anything. I have come to prefer Sparrows, Southord, and Mad Bob's as my go-to manufacturers. But much like finding a comfortable off-duty holster, finding a truly useful EDC pick set that doesn't eat up pocket space or isn't uncomfortable to carry, is like finding a 4 leaf clover. I had settled on the twin titanium Bogota set from Mad Bob, which isn't bad, but it's very small and does not allow you an SPP option- which I much prefer to raking. The jack knife types (I own 5 different models) are decent but unwieldy, and never have very good feedback. When I was given my first Southord pen pick set (I own three now, after this last massdrop purchase) by my wife for my birthday 2 years ago, I was amazed- the quality, the materials, the feel, everything is truly first rate. An excellent EDC kit and backup. As close to perfect as you can get in a compact EDC kit!
