So I got my grinder in the mail the other day, packaging was easy and discreet and I absolutely LOVE the product. It works great.
Sadly, this will be the last time I am buying anything from massdrop as I fear the UK's so called Royal Mail completely destroys the reasoning of buying cheaply from abroad.
On top of what I would personally think overpriced grinder+shipping (60$ which roughly translates too 35£) I had to pay Royal Mail an excessive amount of money (Nearly £14) just because they "handled" it. Meaning they see the product that came from abroad is expensive so they charge a fee for it just because they can. They don't even deliver it back to you. I had to go get it from the local post office (local = 20 minute drive) myself. So in general a grinder ended up costing me almost £50 which isn't very worth it considering you can buy them for about that price in Ebay and have next day shipping.
Wouldn't recommend UK to shop for highly expensive stuff on here, from personal experience it isn't very worth it. Sorry if I sound negative but it's a real piss take.
Definitely not Massdrop's fault though. It's the Royal fucking Mail.

sthesIt's not the Royal fucking Mail's fault either. Outside of EU requires some custom's processing. Royal Mail provides a service on behalf of UK custom's. I paid something like £13,5, too, to get it into CZ. This is why it's sometime a great idea to pay a little bit extra to order from European retailers. Custom's can be a pain in the ass and add at least 1-2 days to the shipping time.
Really, it would all be solved if Massdrop would be a little bit more flexible with the labeling of the shipment. "Value: $10. Content: Kitchenware" = straight through customs :)

SindreBusinesses can't lie. If they get audited they would lose their licence.
Edit: but every country that I know of has an import fee, anyways.
