Perfect for small children to swallow. It is irresponsible for MD to sell these. I thought they were banned? if not, they should be. Serious hazard to children.

SarsfieldIt's the responsibility of the parent to not let their small child play with things that could kill them. The rest of us who are (hopefully) smart enough not to drop a couple of these down our throats would like to fiddle with our desktop toys in peace.

RegulithI agree. Not to bash sarsfield but holding Massdrop accountable for selling these is rediculous.

SarsfieldThat's the kind of fear-mongering that resulted in Zen Magnets having to fight off (and recently beat!) lawsuits from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. This video might be a little old, but it's still quite relevant.

And if you want a product like these, buy them from the best, Zen Magnets, don't buy cheap knockoffs.

SarsfieldSpeks are actually an offshoot from 2.5mm 'Compliance' Micromagnets, which are specifically designed for safety. Not that we're suggesting you put them on your childrens cupcakes, but they are technically not High-Power "Hazardous Magnets" due to their lack of strength. These are not the hazardous magnets you're looking for.

ZenMagnets@ZenMagnets when are you going to work with MD to drop the Mandala set. I let a friend "borrow" half of my Triumph set and he lost them into the innards of his car, so I need more, and yet I'm also cheap.

DJMENACEI've seen my neighbor shout to his child when he approches the table full of peanuts. And that's a good thing. Some other people around here would say that it's the peanuts producer's fault if their child choked.

SarsfieldThat is a ridiculous standard to hold. There are millions of things that are hazardous to children. And in fact hazardous to adults as well! It is the responsibility of adults to navigate this world. Not corporations or government to sand down the edges of every possible circumstance so that nobody ever has to think for themselves. BTW I'm not a libertarian or anything. I just get sick of this kind of thinking about every last damn thing.

ZenMagnetsThanks for the warning. I most definitely want HIGH-GAUSS magnets in my buckyballs! Something the namby-pambies will come screaming with SWAT teams in tow to steal from me. Can we still get proper high-gauss buckyballs? I’m glad I got 10 sets when I had the chance, but one can always use more. I thought they had been BANNED for sale in the USA. This drop encouraged me to wash my old buckyballs. Now they’re sparkly as new! Thanks Massdrop! :-)
