So the blue thing that provides the energy to the movement just fell off inside the case. I've used the watch perhaps twice a week for 6 months in an office exclusive environment. Would not recommend this watch in the slightest.

Brija924Sounds like the rotor a counterweight that winds the main spring came loose, I have had this happen in a few automatics, it is only a minor repair a very small screw holds it in place ,I use a little locktite ! and the watches were much more expensive than these watches. Warranty will cover it,but if you do not want to wait, any qualified watch shop should be able to do it while you wait for a couple of bucks.

Truant007Hey, thanks for the reply. Since posting I have done a bit of research and I am fully capable of doing the repair myself, as I saw the screw through the case back. I just need to purchase the case opening tool at likely 1/8 the price of sending it to China for repairs. Being as I'm now an Alpinist fanboy I'm not massively concerned.

Brija924Great, glad I could help, just make sure and use a very small amount of pure silicone grease on the o-ring that you will find behind the caseback cover& do not over tighten it , just turn untill it seats then tighten a little more or you could destroy the integrity of the seal . I use a product called TRIDENT product#LP20 that is a 2 OZ tub should last a very long time ,it is used on diving equipment& great for watches ,look on youtube there are some good tutorials ,type waterproofing your watch! Buy a high quality case removal tool as the cheap ones can slip damaging your watch , also only swiss made screw drivers , as the Chinese steel is awefull ,Burgeon I believe is the brand and will last a life time.
