As stated this watch is hard to beat for the money! Feels great on the wrist perfect weight I'd be in on another drop this time for the Rose Gold version of this watch.
EtaiI know, right? We should be able to pick the other colors; they haven't placed the order yet so we should be able to choose which we want. Guess I'm sitting this drop out :/
I have one of these, though in a color scheme not offered in this drop. I have received a surprising amount of compliments on it.
-The case is great: solid, heavy, and nicely finished. You could knock someone out with this watch.
-Strap is high quality and does not attract dust like cheaper rubber/silicone. Note that it is thick and when double/triple layered around your wrist will be very noticeable. I would have liked to see the strap taper down in thickness towards the buckle. As others have mentioned, you will have a hard time finding suitable aftermarket straps for this watch.
-Dial feels cheap and plasticky. This is the weakest element of the watch
-I actually really like the crown. It is threaded very smoothly and is higher end than the price of the watch would suggest
-Movement is solid
-Lume is fine though nothing special
-Crystal is mineral glass
-Bezel feels good but is not 120 click
-Customer service is contracted out and was disappointing. Good luck with them if you need anything.
hubert_cumberdaleI got mine off the drop and agree with your assessment. The build quality is actually surprisingly good. Threading on the crown is precise, case is well finished and watch feels put together with precision. I have 5 citizen divers and 10 seiko divers and this watch appears to have similar quality based on my initial impression. It looks a little invictaish, but it seems to have better fit and finish.
update: so the mineral crystal cracked already. I've worn it for 1.5 weeks and a casual bump of the wrist on a door handle chipped a piece of mineral crystal off at 10'oclock. I think I will need to stick with seiko and citizen divers for real durability. While those have mineral crystals as well, I have yet to chip any of them and they have slammed face first into rocks and gone rock climbing with no cracks.
@MD: Still only black is available, could u please try and get the rose gold with grey dial in stock again. What's the point of having a drop for 5 DAYS if most of the variants are sold out on first day itself. I mean only 60 watches have been sold, so guessing that the number of pieces in each variant were say 20 - 25 each. That's sad.. :'(.
