L_PhIf you zoom in on the band in the picture at its magnified level, you'll see that it is a sort of micro-suede texture. This band is undoubtedly made of "genuine leather," which is the cheapest sort of leather, pieces of the deep sections, the underside of leather, mashed and glued together in a sort of plywood/nutraloaf product and sanded down and dyed. The next level up in leather is "top-grain leather," and the best is "full-grain leather." Full-grain leather is the only kind that is not in some way fake, since even top-grain leather has a fake surface made by being pressed with a fake leather pattern and painted.
I bought a band like this Spinnaker band recently, and the form and overall construction and hardware was great. But to me personally, the leather is a big turnoff. It's weird and synthetic feeling, even thought the ingredients are indeed leather.
Having said that, a full-grain band will cost as much as this watch, and they are not commonly available in green, for which you'd need to go to a maker like Dangerous9, who do dye work on full-grain leather if requested and who charge double or more the cost of this watch.

CloacaThanks for the comment and great inside information. I understand that genuine leather is considered the bottom kind of leather. I'm not that picky and I find genuine leather to be ok for me. Also, considering the cost of the watch, I think genuine leather is the valuable choice. That's why I asked to see if anyone has any idea where I can get similar straps.

L_PhI would consider contacting Spinnaker directly, it's likely they sell replacement bands. Many watch companies do, even if they are not listed on their site directly.
