A true original, the Spyderco Introvert is anything but shy. In fact, it’s the first-ever flipper with Spyderco’s ultra-secure back lock, making it super reliable and quick to deploy—not to mention it’s designed by a martial artist in Chris Knutson. The overall design is a bit odd, to be sure. But that’s what gives the Introvert its charm. When closed, half of a large hole protrudes from the body. Press the flipper and it rotates quickly to the other side, now serving as a finger ring, similar to that on a karambit. The ring also means the knife works well in a reverse grip. Regarding materials, Spyderco does not skimp: The knife is outfitted with a VG-10 blade and grippy G-10 scales. The handle also drops down more than other knives, which complements the hand’s natural contours for extra leverage.
