Ancient Japanese Nishijin Handle
A Spyderco fan favorite, the Cricket combines tradition and utility in a diminutive package. Featuring a 1.9-inch blade made from VG-10 stainless steel—a high-carbon content steel manufactured in Japan—this compact folder is great for small cutting tasks in a pinch. The blade’s reverse “S” shape lends itself to puncturing tasks and cutting free standing materials. The handle is made from glossy blue Nishijin glass fiber, which is inspired by an intricate Japanese weaving process from over 1,200 years ago. Its luminescent color pairs well with the satin-finished blade. Although small enough to slip into a breast pocket or fifth pocket in a pair of jeans, it also comes with a pocket clip for convenient tip-down carry.
