At $284.95 MSRP the price in stores would be 40% less, a little over $170. If 250 people sign up at $199 and Spyderco makes 1000 of these what happens to the remaining 750? Do they go to stores where they will be sold at nearly $30 less than we paid for the Drop? if 250 people sing up for the Drop does the price go down to $170? Probably I should have thought this through before I purchased here.

You can cancel your participation before the drop ends. Just go to the "Transactions" page on your profile and hit the cancel button. You don't get charged until the drop ends. : )

JakeRobertsI realize that I can cancel. This is not buyers remorse. I am a long time Spyderco collector with nearly 500 knives in my collection. I am fortunate that my work allows me to overextend every now and then. What would really anger me is if I see these knives selling elsewhere through other dealers for the usual 40% discount. Is Spyderco really only going to make 250 of these if the Drop gets that high? Dunno. The smallest lot I've seen them make is 600. JonasHeineman says this is a Massdrop exclusive. I'm very dubious but will accept that and see how this turns out.

euphorbioidNo worries man, I understand where you are coming from. I'd also be mad if I saw them sold elsewhere for cheaper. This sprint run looks very nice, but the way I see it, you REALLY have to be a Delica fan for that price... after all, like many other people have commented, it is still a Delica. A really nice looking one, but still a Delica... : )
But yeah, almost every Spyderco sprint run I've seen is limited to 600. Probably agreed to a different deal with MassDrop.
