ive been wanting one of these guys for a while and i always love a good blue box. i just cant agree with the H1 salt being an "upgrade". i mean it is if youre working on a fishing boat and live the salty life. but for 99% of every other user here it doesn't really help. i for one wouldnt carry the salt if i got it from this drop. also its a 30% chance of getting the salt... thats 1 in 3 thats way too high. i cant take those odds on a knife i wouldnt carry so with much regret ill pass.

DocZZZYeah I feel like H1 is a niche and even more so with the hawkbill blade shape. Serrations aren't as popular either which makes this knife for a super specific person. Not almost a third of the participants.

DocZZZI think I read somewhere on the drop that you can opt out of the upgrades, and just receive a dragonfly 2 of your color choice.

dgikmoTrue, but then you're just paying the regular price for this model with an added wait period.

AstroBevIndeed. I just wanted to let OP know if he's interested for the drop price.

DocZZZH1 is a good steel. But it's a strange steel that's better with a serrated edge. And hawkbill blades are surprisingly useful. So I can see where they would consider it an upgrade. But I do agree that it's not for everyone, myself included. I'll give this blue box a shot anyway. If I get the hawkbill salt model, it's an opportunity to try something different than what I'd normally buy.

FrozenspyderBasically my reasoning as well. I'd never intentionally purchase a serrated knife in H1, but if I happen to get one here, where it is somewhat randomised, that's fine. Let's face it, most of us here have so many knives that 90% of them exist for the novelty of having them, so why not add a serrated hawkbill made of ceramic pretending to be steel.
