Ultra-Fine-Grain Steel With a Versatile Build
Ideal for hunters, backpackers, and outdoorsmen, the Spyderco Junction is based on one of Gayle Bradley’s popular custom designs. Taking center stage here is the PSF27 steel blade. This incredibly tough spray-formed steel is created through a similar process to particle metallurgy, in which the metal quickly solidifies so small particles can’t settle. The result is an ultra-fine-grain composition for excellent edge retention. Longer than 4 inches, the blade here is big enough for bushcraft, yet not unwieldy. As for the handle, it’s composed of G-10 scales that are attached with tubular rivets. This construction helps keep weight down to a carry-friendly 4.1 ounces overall—not to mention you could lash it to a stick for a makeshift spear in a pinch.
