Is it possible to have the pivot screw tighten before being shipped here to Canada? I'm thinking of purchasing this knife but don't want the Canadian customs to confiscate it and labelling it as a "gravitational" knife which is like a butterfly knife and are illegal in Canada

EddieLGood to know for sure. If this can be tested for by MassDrop, it will effect if the knife is legal by Canadian standards or not.
Canadian knife laws prohibit folding knives that will deploy: Through gravity (a loose blade that requires no force acted upon it to deploy, and only relies on the circular motion to open fully.) Through centrifugal force (A loose blade that requires only a flick of the wrist to deploy, note: when testing for this, the knife must be held by the grip.) Through mechanism (like a switchblade, requiring no manual force on the blade to open.)
If a folder doesn't open when holding the grip and flicking it in a direction that would cause it to open, and if it doesn't open when the blade is oriented so that it would drop open out of the handle, it'll pass the legality tests. If it fails one or both, tightening the pivot screw can bring the knife into legality.

ReaprayA butterfly knife with tightened pivots is still a butterfly knife. The CBSA has chemical analyzers and x-ray machines onsite to prevent prohibited items from being imported into the country - they're gonna have a few torx bits. Yes, they're allowed to loosen the pivot, just like they're allowed to open and inspect your shipment.
Not to mention many CBSA officers carry a pocket knife themselves and know the common brands, models, along with the typical tricks people use to smuggle things in. Yes, they read the internet.
Of course that's not to say they're even close to perfect; out of 10 prohibited items from China, they might catch one.
