This knife can be found on bladehq.com for the same price without the wait time and free shipping.

behr95But BladeHQ does not give the option of dropping the case for $20. For some people, paying $231.97 + shipping is worth the wait.

behr95Not quite. All Spyderco drops here are going to be nominally the same price as elsewhere, because Spydercos are price-controlled. Massdrop sort of gets around that by offering Spydercos with an optional carry case thrown in at the same listed price. When you join the drop, you can then choose to reject the carry case to receive the knife itself at a slightly lower price.
Here the 'value' of the carry case is $20, so in reality this is a drop at $231.97. I still wouldn't jump at a knife this pricey for only a $20 discount, but maybe some might. Shrug.

rpantolianoAnd how much do you pay on MD for shipping to your country? For France, it is $22. Including shipping, even without the complimentary case, Spyderco's knives here are very bad deal. I wish they would stop with Spyderco and propose other knives deals instead.

brucknerHere in the US, the shipping cost is $3.50, so the total discount would be $16.50. Personally, I would not wait for the drop to save that amount, but that could be a deciding factor for others.

rpantoliano$3.50 is not that bad. I wish it was less expensive for europeans. I paid $7 on a Kizer drop for comparison.
