Anyone from Canada order the para recently? I just saw a post on the Spyderco.ca forum saying that it and it's big brother the military are prohibited from being imported from the US again. They're apparently considered "Centrifugal Opening Blades" based on the wrist flick test. I'm in this drop and I'm unsure what will happen if it's denied at the border.

Pestilence11I just got it. I think the boarder agency still didn't change their criteria so far, and the "centrifugal opening" are debatable, since you can pretty much open any folding knife if you give it enough momentum. Btw, get the black blade version, its worth every penny.
peterzhangrnYeah I got mine yesterday, been meaning to post. I was quite shocked that it shipped the day after the drop ended, thanks Massdrop! As for the centrifugal opening, I definitely agree, it's a ridiculous law and thankfully isn't strictly enforced. The knife itself is great and is insanely light compared to my Manix II with full liners with no milling (5oz approx.) Mine's got a bit of a sticky lock but should come around after playing with it to break it in.
Pestilence11needs lube. ive had mine for 3 years and the 'action' still sucks. i feel like the blade is too light and doesn't flip out with authority...especially if it's a little sticky! guess i just got used to my 2 Militarys and a bigger heavier blade?
