Knife was mint (not anymore, heh) and an authentic Spyderco, with box and brochure. Blade marking indicates that it was made in Golden, CO USA, and helpfully specified the planet of manufacture.
This came configured for a right-hand, tip-down carry. 2 groups of holes have been drilled for a pocket clip on each scale, so this knife is ambidextrous and can be carried tip up or down.
The knife I received is a perfect specimen, with a fit & finish that I think is just great. Nice "dry-feeling" grip on the G10 handles, all the hardware is flush, new screws, blade is perfectly centered with a lovely sharp & even factory edge. The steel liners inside are skeletonized and polished. Lockup is very firm and tight, though I'm not so sure about closing this with one hand - if I could make one wild improvement it would be to add an AXIS lock.
I loosened the pivot just a skosh and gave it a drop of Militec, The detent is stiff and needs a little breaking in.
I'm very happy with this - Thanks to Spyderco and Massdrop et al.
