kkt45All of my knives are made in the USA except my Spyderco Techno, which is made in Taiwan. It is one of my favorites, exceptional fit and finish and great action. I believe that buying local is great but supporting good craftsmanship is also very important. I'm sorry if you have something against the country of Taiwan but other people deserve to know that Spyderco's Taichung factory makes excellent knives. Aloha

kkt45You're speaking out of ken, and no one here is the least bit confused as to why. The Taichung factory is as good as, if not better than, any other knife production factory that I've come across. I'm not the sort to own many knives, but any knife I do own ranges from $150 to $850. The Sage II is the knife you'll find in my pocket every day. It's not the price that puts it there, but the design and build quality that I require in a daily use knife.
