One aspect of EDC that's not often discussed is the practicality of carrying a given knife in the pocket.
For example, I love my Paramilitary 2 in just about every way. It's a fantastic EDC knife. It deserves it's legendary status.
But it fails me in one way - a few days after I started carrying it clipped inside my front pants pocket for EDC, I could tell the lightly textured G10 scales would wear my jeans pocket to shreds in a couple of month. The constant pulling in and out makes the textured scales act like a mild sand paper. I could hear and feel it abrade the edge of my pocket every time I pulled it out to use it.
One advantage of the Techno, and other smooth scaled knives like the Slysz Bowie and the Kershaw Leek, is that this type of abrading is virtually non existent. So besides what the clip may be doing, there's no damage to your pants from the texture of the scales.
You wouldn't necessarily think about this, but it becomes huge in practical use.
So that's another great thing about the Techno.
