Easily carve a roast with a 5.75 inch blade? Really? Lol must be a pretty tiny roast. Why not just sell this for what it is: a utility/petty knife πŸ™„ (probably because most people don't buy a $100 petty in vg10 i guess, but this is no replacement for even a small chef/gyuto with that short blade height)
MD staff: Blade thickness: 0.09 in (2.3 cm) Pretty sure that should be 2.3mm πŸ˜‰

KavikWell, a 2.3cm thick blade would explain some of the high price. That would be a LOT of vg10. Odd handle for a hatchet though...

KavikIf the blade were 2.3 cm thick, you could really beat the crap out of whatever you were trying to cut when this knife got dull.

14themoneyJust imagine how it would wedge in carrots and potatoes though, even when sharp! Lol Too pricy as a long thin tenderizer haha

NotsurewhyibotherThank you! I just had to laugh. On today's episode of "The Kitchen Survivalist" we see Larry batoning a sweet potato and a head of cauliflower.
