Is this worth it? I know it's cheaper than retail, but from Tolarian Community College, a source i trust, I hear these decks don't contain much of value.

croixLooks like I was hasty with my analysis and used the Theros deck instead of the Journey deck. So no Hallowed Fountain or Detention Sphere, but in their place: Anger of the Gods (x1) at $2-3 and Young Pyromancer (x3!) at about $2.50.

Here's the quick marketing blurb on each of these decks
Khans of Tarkir: (WB Warrior tribal) "Do you Mardu? Khan you see yourself pillaging and plundering? Would you say you're a weekend and weekday warrior? Are you really, really into attacking? Well then, the Khans of Tarkir Event Deck is for you! This Warrior-based white-black deck attacks hard and fast, outfitting the warrior clans of Tarkir with some of the most punishing weapons of Theros." http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/arcana/khans-tarkir-event-decklist-2014-09-23
Journey into Nyx: Wrath of the Mortals (UR Counterburn) "Harness the Power of Fire and lightning to defeat your foes! The "Wrath of the Mortals" deck features a wide range of damage spells as well as creatures that reward you for casting them. As you blast away your opponent's forces, your creatures become more and more dangerous. Young Pyromancer and Guttersnipe trigger every time you cast an instant or sorcery, netting you additional creatures and damage. If possible, try to get these Shamans onto the battlefield before casting your other spells. Because your creatures yield more benefits the longer they stay on the battlefield, trading them with opposing creatures is usually not a good plan. Don't be afraid to take some early damage while you get set up. Your suite of burn spells is both formidable and versatile. Many of these spells can target a creature or a player, so you'll be able to either remove problematic enemy forces or simply finish off your opponent. Flames of the Firebrand and Turn // Burn are great ways to clear out an early rush, and Battlefield Thaumaturge makes them brutally efficient if you're going after multiple creatures." http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/1484
Born of the Gods: Underworld Herald (Mono-Black devotion) "The "Underworld Herald" deck combines aggressive swarms of creatures with devastating spells that destroy your opponent’s forces. Enchantment creatures and powerful devotion creatures give you a solid Backup Plan if your initial offensive can’t finish things off. This deck features a mix of aggressive mechanics. Unleash lets you choose to have your creature enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter at the cost of not being able to block. Bestow lets you cast some of your creatures as Auras that turn into creatures if the target they are enchanting is removed. This gives you resilience against opponents who can kill your creatures. Abilities that count your devotion to black get more powerful based on the number of black mana symbols among the mana costs of permanents you control, including hybrid mana symbols like the one on Rakdos Cackler—perfect for a deck with only black cards." http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/1424
