Can i just say..... People storing vehicle escape tools in the glove box is one of my pet peeves. I yell at my dad for this all the time lol If your belt is jammed and you need to cut it to get out, how do you reach it in the glove box??
If you're going to keep something like this in the car, find a place to store it within arms reach and where it won't go flying in an accident. Like velcroing it to the front or side of your seat
