But here's the (in)famous MDR-V700DJ anyway:

Hopefully they weren't persnickety about copying the awful and fragile V700 headband.
On a side note, notice how some Beyerdynamic headphones, the Stanton DJ Pro 2000, and the American Audio HP700 share the same headband as that, and other, Ultrasones.

I agree with you ;those headbands are suspiciously similar;makes me wonder if they are doing the same as automakers..generic chassis design with different internals..pay more for better plastics and internals...what cabal controls this sector of headphone band manufacturing?
